The new trams at Education City were sleek, fast and much more eco-friendly than the shuttle buses they replaced.

What it struggled to replace, however, was the convenience of the bus stops. They new stations were located in less frequented areas, and the official tram map, with its minimal design and new station names, made it difficult for travelers to navigate the system.
At the Daily Q, a news media outlet run by Northwestern Qatar students, we recognized the need to make the tramways more user-friendly. To address this, I took the initiative to design a new tram map.

The redesigned map featured simplified illustrations of prominent landmarks, giving commuters a visual cue of where each tram station led to. With college commuters in mind, the map also included walking + travel time from parking spaces and metro stations to imporant landmarks.
