Shahid, by artist Khalid Albaih, is an interactive audio-visual installation that confronts the individual’s role as a witness in the War on Gaza.

I was tasked with designing an interactive audio machine that helps visitors record names from a scroll that listed people who have died in the war to date. 

The machine invited visitors with a simple red button, which when pressed, started a recording. Once the button was released, the recording stopped. The recording was then added to a running playlist which was played back in the exhibition space.
